How to clean LULU mat?

Hey guys. I have a black lululemon mat .. the one that has a smooth side and a more gripped side for hot yoga. Since it's black I notice I get so many skid marks on it while I practise like if I have any dust in my body it sticks. Should I exchange the colour or is there an easy way to get rid of it?

I ordered some microfiber towel/rags off of amazon and I just use those with warm water and some dish soap and it cleans it right up! I have both an all black and a purple one and do the same for both.

I use a towel with water and dawn dish soap. It seems to work well! A lot of the reviews on the mats say it shows stains so I think that's just how the material is made.

Lol an educator told me to soak it in my bathtub in water. No soap. Lol. Let me know if anyone tries this. Too high maintenance for me.

Yep, that's what I do with mine. Soak it long enough to see the water dirty, it just lifts the oil out of the mat. Soaps can damage the mat.

I've given up on keeping my black mat clean without marks. Lol the lazy side of me has taken over.

Soak it in water! Don't use product on it :) water will remove the oil and it will be sticky again

I was told in the store to clean with dish soap and water. Sometimes I clean with a natural spray and microfiber towel if I don't have time for full cleaning/drying process

I wouldn't soak it in water. Lululemon mats are not closed and the material is porous so water can get trapped in it and get mouldy. Using water by itself won't remove oil as water and oil are immiscible. I find using a solution of white vinegar and water to wipe the surface works quite well! Or water and baking soda for oil stains as bases are good for removing grease. I've had the daydream mat for half a year and use it daily and there are no stains!
