Simple Voice Chat

Simple Voice Chat is a forge mod for Minecraft that allows voice chatting in-game without the use of external software. It also allows proximity chat, which makes it so you can only hear people in range of you in-game, and the audio is directional.

Installing Simple Voice Chat to Server

To install Simple Voice Chat to your server, you can follow these steps:

1. Ensure your server is running Forge or Fabric as a Server Type.
2. Download Simple Voice Chat.
3. Open your control panel and navigate toFiles > FTP File Access.
4. Login using your Multicraft password.
5. Open your /mods directory.
6. Upload the the Simple Voice Chat JAR file.
7. Restart your server.

You will need to install the mod on your computer as well before joining the server. Please refer to our Forge or Fabric guides on how to install mods to your computer.

Configuring Simple Voice Chat (Forge)

If running Forge, you can learn how to configure your plugin here. Please skip below if you're running Fabric.

1. Stop your server.
2. Navigate toFiles  >FTP Access.
3. Login using your Multicraft password
4. Open your /world/serverconfig directory (The folder name world may be different based on your worlds name).
5. Click Edit on the file named voicechat-server.toml.

   

6. Find the line port=24454 - You'll want to change this to match the port of your server. For example, if your port is 25466, the line would say port=25466.
7. Click Save in the top left.
8. Start your server.

If running Fabric, you can learn how to configure your plugin here. Please refer above if you're running Forge.

1. Stop your server.

4. Open your /config/voicechat directory
5. Click Edit on the file named voicechat-server.properties.

8. Start your server.
